NEED A PET NAME…

…for the heroine of my current story.
I’m working on an historical set in south central Missouri in 1876. My heroine–whose name is Carly, named after her father whose name was Carl– lives with her widowed mother. I want the mother to call her daughter by a pet name that her father used to call her when she was little.
Example: Remember the Little House episodes when Pa called Laura Half Pint?
