Heart of Honor

Abigail Locke resents having to leave the fort at New Echota and travel to Raleigh, but she has no choice. A dishonorably discharged officer guides the travelers, and Abby has no choice about that either. Learning to not take things at face value, she suspects there is more to Nathaniel Danfield than her father has told her.

Nathaniel must endure the stigma of dishonor that has been placed on him knowing he acted in good conscience, but Abigail only knows what she’s been told. He could tell her about the events leading to his court-martial, but true conviction comes from seeing proof, and he’d rather show her the kind of man he is.
